My servant Job!”
So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite
and
Zophar the Naamathite went
and did according as t
he
L
ORD
commanded them. The L
ORD
also accepted Job. And the L
ORD
turned the captivity of Job, when he
prayed for his friends. Also, the L
ORD
gave Job
twice
as much as he had before. Then came there unto him all
his brethren, and all his sisters, and all th
ey that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread
with him in his house; and they bemoaned him and comforted him over all the evil that the L
ORD
had
brought upon him. Every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold.
So the L
ORD
blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning
-
for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six
thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses. He had also seven sons and three
daughters.
And he called the name of t
he first, Jemima;
and the name of the second, Kezia;
and the name of the third, Keren
-
happuch.
And in all the land were no women found
so
fair as the daughters of Job; and their father gave them
inheritance among their brethren. After this lived Job an h
undred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his
sons’ sons
-
even
four generations. So Job died,
being
old and full of days.
Blessed
is
the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor
sittet

f the scornful.
But his delight
is
in the Law of the L
ORD
;
and in His Law doth he meditate
day and night.
And he shall be like a tree
planted by the rivers of water
that bringeth forth his fruit in his
season;
his leaf also shall not wither,
and whatsoever
he doeth shall prosper.
The ungodly
are
not so, but
are
like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the Judgment, nor
sinners in the Congregation of the R

For the L

knoweth the way of the righteous; but
the way of
the ungodly shall perish.
Why do the heathen rage, and t

He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh; the Lord shall
have them in derision.
Then shall He speak unto them in His wrath, and vex them in His sore displeasure.
Yet have I set My King upon My Holy Hill of Zion.
I will declare the decree!
T
he L

hath said unto M

Thou

this day have I begotten Thee!

for

Thou shalt
break them with a

iron;
Thou shalt dash them in
pieces like a potter’s vessel.
Be wise now therefore, O ye kings! Be instructed,
ye judges of the earth!
Serve the L

with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
Kiss the Son, lest He be angry
and ye perish
from
the way w

all they that put their trust

Him!

to behold the beauty of the L
ORD
, and to inquire
in His Temple.
For in the time of trouble He
shall hide me in His pavilion.
In the secret of H
is Tabernacle shall
He hide me.
He sha
ll set me up upon a R
ock.
And now shall mine head be lifted up abo
ve mine enemies
round  about  me;
therefore will I offer in His Tabernacl
e sacrifices of joy!
I will sing, yea, I will sing praises
unto the L
ORD
!
Hear, O L
ORD
,
when
I cry with my voice!
Have
mer
cy also upon me, and answer me.
When
Thou
saidst
,
‘
Seek ye My face
’
,
my heart said unto Thee,
‘
Thy face, L
ORD
, will I seek
!
’
Hide not Thy face
far
from me.
Put
not Thy servant away in anger. Thou hast been my Help.
Leave me not, neither forsake me, O
Go
d of my S
alvation.
When my father and my mother forsake me, then the L
ORD
will take me up!
Teach me
Thy Way, O L
ORD
,
and lead me in a plain
path, because of mine enemies.
Deliver me not over
unto the will of
619
mine enemies.
For false witnesses are risen up a
gainst Me, a
nd such as breathe out cruelty.
I
had
fainted
,
unless I had believed to see
the goodness of the L
ORD
in the land of the living.
Wait on the L
ORD
!
Be of good
courage, and H
e shall strengthen thine heart!
Wait, I say, on the L
ORD
!
(A
Psalm
of Da
vid)
Unto Thee will I cry, O L
ORD
my Rock.
Be not silent to me!
Lest,
if
Thou be silent to me, I become like them
that go down into the pit!
Hear the voice of my supplications when I cry unto Thee,
when I lift up my hands
toward Thy Holy O
racle.
Draw me no
t away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity,
which speak
peace to their neighbours, but mischief
is
in their hearts.
Give them according to their deeds,
and according
to the
wickedness of their endeavours.
Give them after the work of their han
d
s; render to them their
desert.
Because they regard not the works of the L
ORD
, nor the operation of His hands,
He shall destr
oy
them, and not build them up.
Blessed
be
the L
ORD
, because He hath heard
the voice of my supplications.
The L
ORD
is
my Strength
and my Shield!
My heart t
rusted in Him, and I am helped!
Therefore my heart
greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise H
im.
The L
ORD
is
their strength, and He
is
the Saving
Strength of His anointed.
Save Thy Peopl
e, and bless Thine inheritance!
Feed
them also, and lift them up for
ever!
(A Psalm of David)
Give unto the L
ORD
, O ye mig
hty!
Give unto the L
ORD
glory and strength!
Give unto the L
ORD
the glory due
unto His name!
Worship the L
ORD
in the beauty of holiness!
The voice of the L
ORD
is
upon the
waters.
The
God of glory thundereth.
The L
ORD
is
upon many waters.
The voice of the L
ORD
is
powerful.
The voice of the
L
ORD
is
full of majesty.
The voice of the L
ORD
breaketh the cedars.
Yea, the L
ORD
breaketh the cedars of
Lebanon.
He maketh them also to
skip like a calf
-
Lebanon a
nd Sirion like a young unicorn.
The voice of the
L
ORD
divideth the flames of f
ire.
The voice of the L
ORD
shaketh the wilderness.
The L
ORD
shaketh the
wilderness of Kadesh.
The voice of the L
ORD
maketh the hinds to calve, and di
scovereth the forests;
and in
His Temple doth every one speak of
His
glory.
The L
ORD
sitteth upon the flood
.
Yea, the L
ORD
sitteth King for
ever!
The L
ORD
will
give strength unto His People.
The L
ORD
will bless His People with peace!
(A Psalm
and
Song
at
the dedication of the House of David)
I will extol thee, O L
ORD
!
For Thou hast lifted me up, and hast not m
ade my foes to rejoice over me.
O L
ORD
my God, I cried unto
Thee, and Thou hast healed me.
O L
ORD
, Thou hast brought up my soul from the grave.
Thou
hast kept me alive, that I
should not go down to the pit.
Sing unto the L
ORD
, O ye saints of his!
And give
thanks at t
he remembrance of His holiness!
For His anger
endureth
but
a moment.
In His favour
is
life.
Weeping may endure for a night, but joy
cometh
in the morning!
And in my prosperity
I said, I shall never
be moved!
L
ORD
, by Thy favour Thou hast made my mountain to stand strong.
Thou didst hide Thy face,
and
I was troubled.
I cried to thee, O L
ORD
! and unto the L
ORD
I made supplication.
What profit
is
there
in my
b
lood when I go down to the pit?
Shall the dust praise Th
ee? Shall it declare Thy Truth?
Hear, O L
ORD
, and
have mercy upon me!
L
ORD
, be Thou my Helper.
Thou hast turned f
or me my mourning into dancing! Thou
hast put off my sackcloth and gir
d
ed me with gladness to the end
that
my
glory may sing pra
ise to Thee, and
not be silent.
O L
ORD
my God, I will give thanks unto Thee for ever!
(To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David)
In Thee, O L
ORD
, do I put my trust.
Let me never be ashamed.
Deliver m
e in T
hy righteousness. Bow down
Thine ear to me. Deliver me speedily.
Be Thou my Strong Rock for an House of Defence to save me!
For
Thou
art
my Rock and my Fortress!
Therefore, for Thy name’s sake, lead me
and guide me.
Pull me out of
the net that
they h
ave laid privily for me,
for Thou
art
my strength!
Into
Thine hand I commit my spirit.
Thou
hast redeemed me, O L
ORD
God of T
ruth.
I have hated them that regard lying vanities, but I trust in the L
ORD
.
I will be
glad and rejoice in  Thy mercy;
for Thou hast
considered  my trouble;
Thou hast known my soul in
adversities,
and hast not shut me up into the hand of the
enemy.
Thou ha
st set my feet in a large room.
Have mercy upon me, O L
ORD
, for I am in trouble!
Mine eye is consumed with grief,
yea
, my soul and my
belly.
For my life is spent with gr
ief, and my years with sighing.
My strength faileth because of min
e iniquity,
and my bones are consumed.
I was a reproach among all mine enemies,
but especially among my
620
neighbours,
a
nd a fear to mine acquaintance.
They
that d
id see me without fled from me.
I am forgo
tten as
a dead man out of mind.
I am like a broken ves
sel.
For I
have heard the slander of many.
Fear
was
on every
side.
While they took counsel together against Me,
they devised to take away M
y life.
But I t
rusted in Thee,
O L
ORD
!
I said,
‘
Thou
art
my God!
’
My times
are
in Thy hand.
Deliver me from the hand of mine enemies,
and
from them that persecute me.
Make Thy
face to shine upon Thy servant!
Save me for Thy mercies’ sake!
Let
me not be ashamed, O L
ORD
!
F
or I have called upon Thee.
Let the wicked be ashamed,
and
let them be silent
in the grave.
Let the lying lips be put to silence,
which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously
against the righteous.
Oh
how great
is
Thy goodness which Thou hast lai
d up for them that fear Thee,
which
Thou hast wrought for them that trust in Thee before the sons of me
n!
Thou shalt hide them in the secret of
Thy
presence from the pride of man.
Thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavil
ion from the strife of tongues.
Bles
sed
be
the L
ORD
!
For He hath shewed me His marvel
lous kindness in a strong city.
For I said in my haste,
‘
I am
cut off from before T
hine eyes!
’
Nevertheless Thou heardest the voice of my s
upplications
when I cried
unto T
hee.
O love the L
ORD
, all ye H
is sai
nts!
For
the L
ORD
preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth
the proud doer.
Be of good courage,
and He shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the L
ORD
!
(A
Psalm
of David, Maschil)
Blessed
is
he
whose
transgression
is
forgiven,
whose
sin
is
covered!
Blessed
is
the man unto whom the L
ORD
imputeth not iniquity,
and in whose spirit
there
is
no guile.
When I kept silence, my bones waxed old
throu

For day and ni
ght Thy hand was heavy upon me.
My moisture is turne
d
into the drought of summer. [Selah]
.
I acknowledged my sin unto Thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid.
I
said,
‘
I will confess my transgressions unto the L
ORD
!
’
And Thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. [Selah]
.
For
this
shall every one that is godly p
ray unto Thee
in a
time when Thou mayest be found.
S
urely in the floods
of great waters they shall not com
e nigh unto him.
Thou
art
my Hiding Place.
Thou
shalt preserve me from
trouble.
Thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. [Selah]
.
I wi
ll
instruct thee and teach thee
in the way which tho
u shalt go.
I
will guide thee with mine eye.
Be ye not as the horse,
or
as the mule,
which
have no understanding;
whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle,
lest they come near unto
thee.
Many sorrows
shall
be
to the wicked.
But he that trusteth in the L
ORD
,
mercy shall compass him about.
Be glad in the L
ORD
, and rejoice, ye righteous!
And shout for joy, all
ye
that
are
upright in heart!
Rejoice in the L
ORD
, O ye righteous!
For
pr
aise is comely for th
e upright.
Praise the L
ORD
with harp.
Sing unto
Him with the psaltery
and
an instrument of ten strings.
Sing unto Him a new song; pl
ay skilfully with a loud
noise.
For the Word of the L
ORD
is
right; and all His works
are
done
in Truth.
He lov
eth righteousn
ess and
judgment.
The earth is full of the goodness of the L
ORD
.
By the Word of the L
ORD
were the heavens made;
and all the host of them by the breath of H
is mouth.
He gathereth the waters
of the sea together as an
heap.
He laye
th up the depth in storehous
es.
Let all the earth fear the L
ORD
!
Let all the inhabitants of the
world stand in awe of H
im.
For He spake, and it was
done.
H
e commanded, and it stood fast.
The L
ORD
bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought.
He maketh the device
s of the people of no
ne effect.
The
counsel of the L
ORD
standeth for ever,
the thoughts of H
is heart to all generations.
Blessed
is
the nation
whose God
is
the L
ORD
,
and
the people
whom
He hath chosen for H
is own inheritance.
The L
ORD
looketh
from heaven; He beholdeth all the
sons of men.
From the place of His habitation He looketh upon al
l the
inhabitants of the earth.
He fashioneth their hearts alike; H
e considereth all their works.
There is no king
sav
ed by the multitude of an host.
A mighty man is
not delivered by much stre

An horse
is
a vain thing
for safety.
Neither shall he deliver
any
by his great strength.
Behold, the eye of the L
ORD
is
upon them that
fear Him,
upon them that hope in His mercy
,
to deliver their soul from death, an

famine.
Our
soul waiteth for the L

-
He
is
our Help and our Shield.
For
our heart shall rejoice in Him,
because we have trusted in H

Let Thy mercy, O L

, be upon us, according as we hope in
Thee.
(A
Psalm
of David, when he changed his behaviour bef
ore Abimelech
who
drove him away
and he departed)
I will bless the L

at all times!
His praise
shall
continually
be
in my mouth!
My soul shall make her boast in
the L

.
The humble shall hear
thereof
, and be glad.
O magnify the L

with me, and let us
exalt His name
together!
I sought the L

626
(A Song
and
Psalm for the sons of Korah)
Great
is
the L
ORD
, and greatly to be praised
in the city of our God,
in
the mountain of H
is holiness.
Beautiful
for situation, the joy of the whole earth,
is
Mount Zion,
on
the sides of the north, the City of the G
reat King.
God is kno
wn in her palaces for a refuge.
For, l
o, the kings were assembled,
they passed by together.
They
saw
it
,
and
so they marvelled; they were troubled,
and
hasted away.
Fear took hold upon them there,
and
pain, as of a woman in travail.
Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish with an east wind.
As we
have heard, so
have we seen in the City of the L
ORD
of H
osts,
in the City of our God
-
God will establish it for ever. [Selah]
.
We have thought of Thy lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of Thy T
emple.
According to Thy name, O God,
so
is
Thy pra
ise unto th
e ends of the earth.
Thy right
hand is full of righteousness. Let Mount Zion rejoice!
Let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of T
hy judgments.
Walk about Zion, and go round about her;
tell the towers thereof.
Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her pa
laces;
that ye may tell
it
to
the
generation following.
For this God
is
our God for ever and ever.
He will be our guide
even
unto death.
(To the chief Musician, A Psalm for the sons of Korah)
Hear this, all
ye
people! Give ear, all
ye
inhabitants of the w
orld!
Both low and high, rich and poor, together!
My  mouth  shall  speak  of  wisdom;
and the meditation of my heart
shall
be
of understanding.
I wil
l incline
mine ear to a parable; I will ope
n my dark saying upon the harp.
Wherefore should I fear in the days
of evil,
when
the iniquity of m
y heels shall compass me about?
They that trust in their wealth,
and boast
themselves in
the multitude of their riches
–
none
of
them
can by any means redeem his brother,
nor give
to God a ransom for him...
(for the redemption
of their soul
is
precious, and it ceaseth for ever
)
...that he
should still live for ever
and
not see corruption.
For he seeth
that
wise men die.
Likewise the foo
l and the
brutish person perish an
d leave their wealth to others.
Their inward thought
is
that
t
heir houses
shall
continue
for ever,
and
their dwelling places to all generati
ons.
They call
their
lands after their own names.
Nevertheless man,
being
in honour
, abideth not.
He is like the beasts
that
perish.
This their way
is
their folly.
Yet their post
erity approve their sayings. [Selah]
.
Like sheep they are laid in the gra
ve. Death shall feed on
them.
And the upright shall have dom
inion over them in the morning.
And their beauty shall consume in
the
grave from their dwelling.
But God will redeem My sou
l from the power of the grav
e;
for He shall receive
Me. [Selah]
.
Be not thou afraid when one is made rich,
when the g
lory of his house is increased;
for when
he die
th he shall carry nothing away!
His glo
ry shall not descend after him.
Though whil
e he lived
he blessed
his  soul;
and
men
will praise thee, when thou doest well to thyself!
He shall go to the generation of his
fathe
rs; they shall never see light.
Man
that
is
in honour and understandeth not, is like the beasts
that
perish.
(A Psalm of Asaph)
The
Mighty God,
even
the L
ORD
, hath spoken,
and called the earth from the rising of the s
un unto the going
down thereof.
Out of Zion, the perfect
ion of beauty, God hath shined.
Our God shall co
me, and shall not
keep silence.
A fire shall devour before Him,
and
it shall be very tempestuous round about H
im.
He shall call
to the heavens from above, and to the earth,
that He may judge His P
eople.
“
Gather My saints together
unto Me!
Those that have made
a covenant with Me by sacrifice!
”
An
d the heavens shall declare
His
righteousness; for God
is
Judge Himself. [Selah]
.
“
Hear, O My P
eople, and I will speak!
O Israel, and I will
testify against thee!
I
am
God,
even
thy God!
I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings,
to
have
been
continually befo
re M
e.
I will take no bullock out of thy house,
nor
he goats out of thy folds.
For
every beast of the forest
is
Mine,
and
the cattle upon a thousand hills!
I know all the fowls of the mountains,
and the wild beasts of the field
are
Mine.
If I were hungry,
I would not tell thee.
For the world
is
Mine and
the fulness thereof!
Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?
Offer unto God thanksgiving; and
pay thy vows unto the Most High!
And call upon Me in the Day of Trouble.
I will deliver thee,
and thou shalt
glorify Me.
”
But unto the wicked God saith,
“
What hast thou to do to declare My statutes,
or
that
thou
shouldest take My covenant in thy mouth?
Seeing thou hatest instruction
and castest My Words behind
thee!
When thou sawest a thief, then
thou consentedst with him,
and hast been partaker with adulterers.
Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.
Thou sittest
and
speakest against thy brother;
thou slanderest thine own mother’s son
.
These
things
hast thou done, and I kept
silence.
Thou thoughtest
627
that I was altogether
such
an
one
as thyself!
But
I will reprove thee, and set
them
in order before thine eyes.
Now consider this, ye that forget God!
Lest I tear
you
in pieces, and
there
be
none to deliver!
Whoso offereth
praise g
lorifieth Me.
And to him that ordereth
his
conversation
aright
will I shew the Salvation of God.
”
(To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David,
when Nathan the prophet
came unto him
after he had gone in to Bath
-
sheba)
Have mercy upon me, O God, according to
Thy lovingkindness! According unto the multitude of Thy tender
mercies blot out my transgressions!
Wash me throughly from mine iniqui
ty, and cleanse me from my sin.
For I acknowledge my transgressions; and my sin
is
ever before me.
Against Thee
-
Thee only
-
have I sinned,
and done
this
evil in Thy sight; that Thou mightest be justified when Thou speakest,
and
be clear when
T
hou judgest.
Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in
sin did my mother conceive me.
Behold, Thou desirest
truth  in  the  inward  parts;
and in the hidden
part
Tho
u shalt make me to know wisdom.
Purge me with
hyssop, and I shall be clean.
Wash me, a
nd I shall be whiter than snow.
Ma
ke me to hear joy and gladness;
that
the bones
which
T
hou hast broken may rejoice.
Hide thy face from my sins
, and blot out all mine
iniquities.
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and
renew a right spirit within me.
Cast me not away from Thy
presence; and take not Thy Holy S
pirit from me.
Restore unto me the joy of Thy Salvation; and uphold me
with
Thy
Free S
piri
t.
Then
will I teach transgressors Thy Ways; and sinners shall be converted unto T
hee.
Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, Thou God of my Salvation;
and
my tongue shall sing aloud of T
hy
righteousness.
O Lord, open Thou my lips and my mouth shall shew
forth T
hy praise.
For T
hou desirest not
sacrifice; else would I give
it!
Thou de
lightest not in burnt offering.
The sacrifices of God
are
a broken spirit.
A broken and a contrite heart, O God, T
hou wilt not despise.
Do good i
n Thy good pleasure unto Zion.
Build
thou the w
alls of Jerusalem.
Then shalt Thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt
offe
ring and whole burnt offering.
Then shall they offer bullocks upon Thine Altar.
(To the chief Musician, Maschil,
A
Psalm
of David, when Doeg
the Edomit
e came and told Saul,
and said unto him,
David is come to the house of Ahimelech
)
Why boastest thou thys
elf in mischief, O mighty man?
The goodness of God
endureth
continually.
Thy
tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sh
arp rasor, working deceitfu
lly.
Thou lovest evil more than good;
and
lying
rather than to speak righteousness. [Selah]
.
Thou lovest all devouring words, O
thou
deceitful tongue.
God
shall likewise destroy thee for
ever.
He shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of
thy
dwelling pla
ce,
and
root thee out of the land of the living. [Selah]
.
The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him,
‘
Lo,
this
is
the man
that
made  not  God  his  strength;
but trusted in the abundance of his riches,
and
strengthened himself in his wicke
dness!
’
But I
am
like a green
olive tree in the House of God.
I trust in the
mercy of God for ever and ever.
I will praise Thee for ever, because Thou hast done
it.
And I will wait on Thy
Name; for
it
is
good before Thy saints.
(To the chief Musician upo
n Mahalath, Maschil,
A
Psalm
of David)
The fool hath said in his heart,
“
There
is
no God
.
”
Corrupt are they, and
have done abominable iniquity.
There
is
none that doeth good.
God looked down from h
eaven  upon  the  children  of  men;
to see if there
were
any
th
at did understand,
that
did seek God.
Every one of them is gone back.
The
y are altogether
become filthy.
There
is
none that doeth good
-
no, not one!
Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge,
who eat up my people
as
they eat bread?
T
hey have not called up
on God.
There wer
e they in great fear
where
no fear was; f
or God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth
against
thee.
Thou hast put
them
to shame, because God hath despised them.
Oh that the Salvation of Israel
were
come
out of Zion!
When God
bring
eth back the captivity of His people,
Jacob shall rejoice,
and
Israel shall be glad.

Úspěšně mě konvertoval k římskokatolické církvi. Od té doby co ho máme tak se pilně modlím a ctím otce svého i matku svou.

Inteligentní profesor s autoritou. Je ochoten studentům věci pořádně vysvětlit, i když někteří trpí vysokou formou nechápavosti.
